Day 1

An excellent day - if somewhat moist and misty. Highlights of today's ride were young master Thomas Jasper who pressed £10 (care of his mummy) in our hands at Lands End when he discovered we were doing LEJOG; the lovely lady on the King Harry ferry who jumped out of her car to hand us all ice lollies and the vision of Saint Margaret at the end of the day at the top of the biggest hill in the world outside Lostwithiel. Day 1 successfully completed, despite threee of us falling off our bikes - all self inflicted (Mandy, did Anne apologise properly for cycling into the back of you?!). The team is in good spirits tonight and looking forward to better weather tomorrow. Many, many thanks to Bronwyn, Jo and Gordon who saw us off at the start of the ride this morning.
